A lot of pollutants are produced in the process of oil drilling, and waste drilling mud is one of the main pollutants. Waste drilling mud is divided into water-based mud and oil-based mud. According to the different types of mud, the treatment process is different.

The water-based drilling waste management system consists of four units: conveying system, drying system, gel breaking system and filter pressing system. 1. The conveying system consists of a sealed screw conveyor to collect cuttings from the shale shaker. 2. The drying system includes one drying screen, one recovery tank and one belt conveyor. 3. The gel breaking system includes 2 reserve tanks, 1 centrifugal pump and 1 gel breaking tank. 4. The filter press system includes one plunger pump, one box filter press and one belt conveyor.

The oil-based drilling waste management system consists of screw conveyor, vertical cuttings dryer, horizontal screw centrifuge, screw pump and other equipment. The oil-based cuttings separated from the solid control system of petroleum mud are transported to the vertical cuttings dryer for treatment by screw conveyor, and the dried cuttings are transported into the cuttings box; the drilling fluid with a small amount of solid phase is transported to the horizontal screw centrifuge by industrial pump or screw pump After further treatment, the mud is reinjected into the mud circulation system.

Advantages: the drilling waste management system realizes the mud waste treatment while drilling. It has good field adaptability and can basically meet the requirements of actual drilling conditions. Dry drilling cuttings can be used for well site and subgrade laying, so as to realize clean production. The separated water is recycled or returned to the solid control system to participate in the circulation again. The separated water can also be deeply purified and discharged after reaching the standard.
